Can you believe we’re at the end of another year? Are you ready for 2020 to be over? This year was, without a doubt, one of the most challenging ever, and I think we all can benefit from a fresh start in 2021! Before we jump into the new year, let’s hop and skip out of 2020 with these ideas:
1. Reflect. Take some time to pause and reflect on where you are, where you’ve come from, and where you’re headed. What were your two biggest lessons of 2020? How did you show up in your personal and professional relationships? What habits do you want to take into the new year?
2. Celebrate! What we focus on expands. Amplify the positivity in your life by acknowledging all your progress and wins, big and small, through celebration. What goals were achieved? What are you most proud of in 2020? What new things did you discoverabout yourself? Share with friends and colleagues. Appreciate and celebrate them for supporting and contributing to you.
3. Do nothing. Could your body, mind, or heart benefit from a little rest? Take these last few days of this year to do nothing—even if it’s for one hour a day. You won’t believe how much more energized you’ll feel.
4. Have some fun 🥳. Never underestimate the power of fun! Use this time to connect with joy, laughter, and lightness in your life. You deserve it!
As we close out another year, the best way to enter 2021 is to have captured the uniqueness of 2020. We are all totally different people than we were at the beginning of the year. There’s really nothing ahead of us that we can’t handle once we give tribute to what we’ve already accomplished.
